Dear Diary,
Ahh, finally that the stress of school is over, I can focus on this blog. As you can tell, its been a couple days since I updated any of you of anything...sorry. I've just been so busy with school and work I haven't really had any time.
One thing I do want to get out of the way.
People that dress like crap to school, it needs to stop. The crappy sweatshirt and pajama sweats really need to stay in the bedroom. Do you want to be presentable and have people respect you? I certainly don't respect anyone dressed in sweatpants with no makeup. Sorry people but you just look like a grime bucket.
Christmas is coming! I will definitely update you on what I got =)
Right now I have to get ready and go to work.
Toodles
Love,
Samantha

I have to admit, I do not belong to all of these sites yet, but I have to say they do offer a wide array of product. Who doesn't love designer sales? Most of these sites will require that you sign up with them, which is no big deal. They just want you to be a "member" before you see the merchandise. They send you e-mails about when the next big sale is and what designer is involved. I think thats awesome! It makes me feel like a ritzy, top customer who's constantly sought after.
So don't say Samantha never helped you find a good sale! After all, what else am I here for!
Anyways, I was looking online for more sales and stumbled upon this from last year:
Designer Handbags Sample Sale Details
Here are the deets for this Sample Sample Sale Productions event:
What: New York City Couture and Designer Handbags and Designer Clothing Sale at up to 70% off retail: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Prada, Dior, Escada, John Galiano, D&G, Fendi and more!

When: February 24th- 27th, Wednesday through Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 10am-4pm with new merchandise arriving daily.
:o OMG!
Hopefully the dates correspond to this year because I will totally be attending that event.
As you may have figured out already, I am a HUGE shopoholic. Although I am a broke college student, I still have nice things. Just like my new Burberry jacket and scarf. (pictures will be up soon)
I also didn't feel guilty about buying it because it was something I've wanted for a while with amazing quality and will last me years.
Tip 1: When shopping, pick out key items that can be used over and over in different ways. This way, you don't drain your pockets buying outfits over and over. Example: I bought an expensive dress. I already thought of multiple places to wear it to, and also how it would differ. I would wear a belt with it, pair it with tights, wear a jacket over it, bling it out with some statement jewelry..and the list goes on. That should be going through your head every time you shop. Think about the questions: Where will I wear it? How will I wear it? Is it multi-functional?
I have work today. Gotta go :]
Love,
Samantha

Chapter 1
Dear Diary,
greetings fellow bloggers :) welcome to my world! for those of you that do not know me, I'm Samantha Kate residing in the quiet suburbs of Long Island. (better pronounced as Lawn Guyland) I'm currently studying Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Nassau Community College, learning a lot each day. but what I find most important in this journey, is finding out what job in the industry is the perfect fit for me.
luckily, I am close to one of the most amazing cities in the world....New York City. just a stones throw away....if the LIRR is working efficiently.
what I find most amazing about fashion though, is the constant anticipation, constant hustle and bustle, and the ongoing surprises and changes.
like HKlum always refers to on Project Runway, "One day you're in, the next out."<-- well that might not be exact but a pretty basic gist.
For some people, thats scary. For me it's an opportunity to shine.
I'm not completely sure which direction this blog will go, I am uncertain that I'll be at all conventional, but I can safely say that this is me. Like me or love me, either way I'm still on your computer screen. Doing exactly what you're not on each word you read.
Hope you enjoy my bluntness, randomness and honesty. I will be sure to make you laugh, cry and say, "Huh?" But hey, someones gotta take charge right?
Love,
Me
